The Chapel Hill Tennis Club is thrilled to have the TCAT Penguins return for SUMMER 2024! TCAT participates in the Chapel Hill Summer Swim League and offers quality coaching and technique instruction. The goal of our team is to facilitate improvement of swimming skills in an enjoyable atmosphere while emphasizing healthy competition and good sportsmanship. We strive to provide fun, friendship, and love of swimming for children of all skill levels, novice to expert. TCAT is open to children ages 4-18 who can swim 25m (one pool length). If your child is new to swimming, they may participate in our Lil’ Penguins program, a bridge to our TCAT swimming.

Summer 2024 Swim Team Pricing
As a reminder, you must be a summer or year-round member of the Chapel Hill Tennis Club to participate in the swim team.
Swim Team Pricing
First Child

Each Additional Child

"Meet Only" fee for those competitive swimmers who are unable to attend practices but would like to still participate in meets.

Registration Overview
Registration is now open. Once you register, your method of payment on file with the Chapel Hill Tennis Club (checking account, credit card, or invoice for year-round members) will be charged for swim team fees.
For those wishing to participate in swim meets, we also recommend registering with the Swimmingly app for a modest fee of $15 per child for the season. This system provides electronic timing and results. Prior to the first meet, all registered TCAT swimmers will receive a link to the Swimmingly app registration. Meet participation is optional.
You may register for either TCAT or Lil' Penguins through Court Reserve and your account will be charged for swim team fees.

Swim Team Practices Overview
Practices begin May 13th
(Ending July 18th)
Monday- Thursday for the entire summer swim season
● Lil’ penguins and 6 and Under- 4:30pm-5pm
● boys/girls 7/8 - 5pm-5:45pm
● boys/girls 9/10 and 11 and Over- 5:45pm-6:45pm
*No afternoon practices on Fridays
*No afternoon practices on Meet Days
Saturday morning practices begin May 18th

Weekday morning practices start Monday June 17
Monday - Friday mornings

Children may attend any of our practice options, including morning or afternoon sessions.
Afternoon practices can be more crowded than others, so please plan accordingly based on your schedule. All practices are at the Chapel Hill Tennis Club pool.
Lil' Penguins

Lil' Penguins is our TCAT bridge or “pre-team” program

Children must be at least 4 years of age

Lil’ Penguins is perfect for those kids who would like to participate in TCAT social activities and learn to swim with our fun and talented coaches, but who are not yet ready to compete in meets.

Lil’ Penguins will be able to test for meet competition at our Mock Meet. If the child is able to swim across the pool unassisted, they can join the TCAT fun in some friendly competition!
TCAT Suit
TCAT will be using

the Speedo Cyclone suit in blue and silver. We will have various sizes to try on. Females have the option of the crossover or flyback, boys will have the jammer.
The Chapel Hill Tennis Club will be hosting Suit Fittings will be held on Sunday 4/21 and Sunday 5/19 3-5pm. Join TCAT coaches, fellow TCAT swimmers, and Volunteer Parent Representative Patty Andrade Schrader for a meet/greet while also trying on the team suit!
